Sungkok Arts & Cultural Foundation was established by Sung Gon KIM, founder of Ssangyong Corporation. The foundation, which carries Mr. Kim’s pen name, is a non-profit entity that aims to continue the founder’s dedication and efforts to support education, arts and culture, and fulfill his belief that ‘national progress begins with the cultivation of bright minds.’ Sungkok Art Museum was established with the aim to promote the understanding and exposure of contemporary art by introducing a curatorial programming that supports both Korean and international artists. Located in the heart of Seoul, on a street with deep cultural history, Sungkok Art Museum also presents a sculpture garden with an outdoor café to provide a unique experience for its visitors.
