[Mediated Memory] - Byoungho Kim

Byoungho Kim’s 'Meditated Memory' sculpture has been exhibited to the present since its installation on October 15, 2016, next to Cheongnyang pavilion at the temple’s entrance. Kim designs a module, orders mass production at the factory, and then builds the pieces by assembling the modules. A tower at a temple has a religious symbol for Buddah’s Sarira, but the artist says that creating and building the tower is an approach to emotions and add more value to a religious symbol. This sculpture will continue to be exhibited until October 2017.
